“In Praise of Idleness” by ROOS off Standards Volume I, is an upbeat, resonating earworm that you’ll have queued up for days. The track featuring Kelli Scarr (Moby), holds a layer of innate optimism due to it’s jazzy, pop composition and melodic vocals. Its one of three that comprise Standards Volume I, which is a three part project with each song illuminating a step in the cycle of ambition and effort.
The first installment is a genre, melting pot that doesn’t come across as forced or smashed together, but instead is a swirling mix of thoughtful compositions.
The first volume comes out officially on March 2nd on Twosyllable Records. Watch the “In Praise of Idleness” below.
