“Cold Nights” is the latest release from NYC indie rock duo, QTY. The single is a politically charged, upbeat shoegazer, examining the particulars of a relationship within the context of chaotic modernity. “Cold men burn bridges over friendships,” Dan Lardner and Alex Niemetz croon repeatedly in the chorus. There’s a familiar pain that develops by the end of the track, a tired but boiling sense of disillusionment that lends itself well to the final crescendoing chorus. “Cold Nights” delivers the kind of catharsis so many don’t yet know they need.
