Suburban Living dropped the infectious, new single “Passing Days” in our laps a couple weeks ago and it’s the band’s first material since the 2016 release of their sophomore record Almost Paradise. The track is a real dose of sun-drenched, dream pop that elaborates on the last LP, but with an sharper undertone to it. Lead singer and guitarist Wesley Bunch said he wanted it to be more quick paced and energizing than previous material.
“It was written pretty immediately after After Paradise came out. I guess it’s kinda in the same vain as the record. I wanted to write something a bit more upbeat and poppier than our previous songs, while maintaining the kind of edge our older material has.”
“Passing Days” propels you along with its rolling, synth-layered arrangement and Bunch’s melodic vocals. Take a listen to the track below and keep up with Suburban Living here
