Watch This // “All Night Baby” By The Velveteins

The Velveteins most recent effort Slow Wave is a dose of lush, sun-soaked psychedelia that melds together the right amount of that old school sentiment with some dreamy, surf-rock and their new music video for the track “All Night Baby” doesn’t skip a beat.

The track itself is a medley of a 60’s vibe with a coat of bright, poppy nostalgia and a tight, infectious arrangement. The video reflects that exact aesthetic with it’s vibrating, faded images and quirky animations of drawings and lyrics. There is a youthful romanticism that resides in both the song and video, which the band has geared toward being an endearing element instead of just another song about the yearning for love.

The jumping imagery parallels lead singer Spencer Morphy’s dynamic, swelling vocals as he coasts through the song. The Velveteins’ approachable, cool personality radiates through and the trio seems to be on a mission to carve out their own brand of pop-sensible, rock.
